City of Toronto - Community Right to Know Bylaw

A new bylaw came into force in January 2010 - "Environmental Disclosure and Reporting" also known as the 'Community Right to Know' Bylaw that requires all businesses to report on their use and emissions of toxic and potentially harmful chemicals. The City has created ChemTRAC to assist businesses in reporting and to help the public access the information.

Currently, there are a number of avenues for finding environmental information at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels. However, the existing sources of information are often inconsistent, incomplete and difficult to access. Below are links to fact sheets that TEA put together to explain how to find this information.
