The Good Neighbour campaign in Scarborough will open lines of communication between Atlantic Packaging and their /neighbours. Residents and local businesses in the area are concerned about the odours, noise levels and air pollution coming from their nearby facilities and the best way to address these concerns is to develop a positive working relationship with Atlantic Packaging directly.   

 

Toronto Environmental Alliance will work hand in hand with community members to identify areas of concern and encourage Atlantic Packaging to become a good neighbour by taking extra steps to reduce odours, pollution and noise levels.  Good Neighbour community campaigns are a proven, effective way to work with companies to reduce industrial emissions and develop a safer and healthier community for all.  

 

We recognize that Atlantic Packaging is one of the largest private sector employers in Scarborough and provides much-need recycling services in Toronto which is why we want them to continue to be a meaningful part of the community.  We want Atlantic Packaging to be a Good Neighbour and to set a shining example for other facilities in the area!
